Multimedia Games has come a long way in the last five years. Gone are the days when it supplied slots to small casinos and was struggling to stay in the game. The leadership of its CEO Patrick Ramsey has seen the company give the big boys like Bally Technologies a run for their money in meeting the gaming needs of large casinos.
The game supplier has seen its customer base grow to include class III casinos in more than 30 states which are now making use of its video lottery terminal (VLT) technology. This growth saw ATM manufacturer Global Cash Access (GCA) part with $1.2 billion to acquire Multimedia Games in 2014. The sale gave rise to Everi Holdings Inc.
The partnership has been a good thing for both parties and in the same year one of its newest products Twist & Win won a prize during Casino Journal’s Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Awards.
Twist & Win features on Multimedia’s Sparkle & Shine game. It has been heralded as being able to increase a gamer’s chances of winning by allowing them to change the directions of columns in specific segments of the game.
